What services do you offer?

Alfred offers Life, Critical Illness and Disability Insurance services. Additionally he offers Life Annuities through his Life Insurance License with over 40 years experience.

In addition to Mutual Fund Sales and portfolio creation, both Alfred and Craig offer Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), Liquid Alternative Investments (Liquid Alts) and Socially Responsible Investments (SRI/ESG).

We also offer Investment and Estate Plans to client's.

Can I transfer my existing accounts currently held at other institutions?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can initiate the transfer(s) and have the funds moved electronically to your accounts here. Depending on the assets we prefer to transfer assets in-kind to avoid tax consequences and work with you as a client on replacing those assets with more suitable assets if or when we feel it is both necessary and in the client's best interest.

In addition to all Mutual Fund Companies in Canada, we also offer Mutual Funds from the Major Banks in Canada.

How are you paid?

Much like other professional services such as your doctor, lawyer, accountant or real estate agent, we offer value to our clients by providing professional and specialized advice. We offer client's a variety of compensation models:

- Embedded Management Expense Ratio's (MERs) on a Front- End basis or
- on a "Fee for service" basis

“fee for service” platforms means that a percentage of their investment portfolio’s value is paid to the advisor for the ongoing asset management and counsel.

Both fee platforms are transparent and disclosed to you during the purchase of your investments and detailed on your annual statements. Additionally your rate of return is always disclosed to you as net of fees charged.

Insurance products* may also generate a commission, either a flat fee or a percentage of the sale. We are committed to making all recommendations in the best interest of our clients and any compensation received is merely a by-product of our services.
